This Thursday (3 October) is Leidens Ontzet: University buildings are closed and classes are cancelled! Immerse yourself in the holiday and the historical origins of our University with the huge festivities going on in Leiden!

TL;DA? The Outcome of CIROS’s General Assembly
The votes are in! Here’s everything you need to know about CIROS’s first General Assembly of the year:
Two new clubs have been approved by the GA!
The Southeast Asia and South Asia (SEA-SA) Club is holding its inaugural event on Diwali! Stay tuned for more information!
The Wijnhaven Debate Society is holding weekly debate evenings every Wednesday! No debate experience is required.
Our board and committee heads introduced ourselves! Click the links for a full list of our board members and committees (as well as how to contact them).
Committee changes have occurred! MENA Committee is no longer part of CIROS and is now an independent student association. Music Committee has been renamed Arts & Media Committee!
The budget was approved! You can read the budget proposal in detail on the CIROS website. Each Committee has a 100€ operational budget per semester, with additional funds to be based on proposals to the Board. Usage of funds exceeding 500€ must be approved by the GA.
The End of Year Report was presented by Madhur (our previous president), and details how our student association started and changed in the past year! The full report is available here.
The Advisory Board has been approved, with 6 members instead of the usual 5 this year. Here’s the full list of members and how you can contact them.
The Colour of CIROS is Burgundy by a narrow margin of 2 votes! Burgundy will be used for some of CIROS’s promotional material in the future.
Office Hours
If you have yet to collect your CIROS membership sticker, come on down to the CIROS Office at the Beehive between 11PM - 3PM, Monday to Friday. Remember to bring your LU Card!
If you have any questions about the organisation, feel free to come on down or contact us at info@cirosthehague.com! Bear in mind that the office will be closed on 3 October for Leidens Ontzet!
